Congrats to the Red Sox! 2013 World Series Champs! Love seeing another Boston team showing love. As a Cubs fan I love seeing the Cardinals lose. Don’t you?
Mine, mine, yours.
Let’s go Red Sox!
Man, I kept my mouth shut during the whole DRose sitting out bullshit. Not sure if the people making those jokes have actually ever been injured playing a sport. I have. I’ve broken bones, had severe sprains, dislocations. It’s not fun.
A lot of people think that once you’re cleared by a doctor to play again that you should be able to jump back on the court/field/ice/pitch are delusional. It’s not only about getting your body ready and prepared, it’s about getting your mind right.
A lot of the times, you’re body is ready to go but if you step out onto the battle ground and you’re mind isn’t ready to be there, you’re just going to get hurt again or you’re not going to perform the way you used to.
I don’t blame DRose for sitting out, not one bit. I’d rather have him be 110% there emotionally, I don’t want him on the court playing scared and being nervous about his ACL. If he came back too soon last season, people would have blamed the Bulls for allowing him to play, he did what was right for him. Have a long career. Why worry about winning one championship, when he has the ability to bring us multiple championships.
The Bulls were a solid team without Derrick Rose this year, 5th seed. With Derrick Rose they have a winning percentage over 85%. That was before we found out Jimmy Butler was a stud, before we found out what our new “bench squad” was really made out of.
So for all the haters, blaming him for us not winning. Go sit down and shut your mouth. You know how long it took Jordan to win his first ring? His 7th season. There’s time for us Chicago Bulls FAITHFUL. Those of us who truly understand the game, those of us who were there through thick and thin. We have a history of winning, and that time is approaching. Be patient. For those of you who can’t, I guess you’ll be jumping on that other teams bandwagon.
Put yourself in his shoes, what would you have done?
People need to stop comparing LeBron James to Michael Jordan. No matter how you look at it. LeBron WILL go down as the greatest player of his generation, just like Jordan was the greatest of his, same can be said about Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlin Oscar Robertson, Jerry West. The list goes on and on and on.
But the game is much different now than it was back when Jordan played in the 80’s and 90’s. Jordan played with tougher defenders (Joe Dumars, John Starks, Dikembe Mutombo, Alonzo Mourning, Gary Payton, Karl Malone) compared to today (not taking anything away from guys like K.G., Bruce Bowen, Duncan, etc.) but you pretty much played no blood no foul. In todays standards you have guys calling for fouls if they breathe on you, they want all the touch fouls called.
One thing that I can say is that Jordan never won until they got him guys like Pippen and Grant, and the same thing can go for LeBron. However you need to take that with a grain of salt because Jordan didn’t call these guys and ask them to play with him while LeBron and company got together and spoke about it.
One thing is for certain, LeBron is this generations Michael, and Michael is this generations Oscar Robertson. We are all witnessing history and whether you like LeBron or not you MUST respect his game. He can turn any team into a contender (ask Cleveland). When it’s all said and done, we’ll always have the comparison of Michael and LeBron, just like we had them about Kobe and Michael.
I won’t give LeBron his full dues until he wins not 1 or 2 or 3… well you get it.
There’s no denying that Dwight Howard is the BEST Center on the planet. No stat or expert can tell me differently. The guy is a genetic freak, he plays hard and he’s a monster in the paint.
The only issue that I have with Dwight Howard is that he’s acting like a selfish prick. Complaining about minutes and saying he’ll only play for one team. Look, if Manu could come off the bench and not complain, you can do the same. The fact that before it was, “I’ll only sign with Brooklyn.” and blah, blah, blah, blah. To I want to play in Dallas. Give me a break. Your job/career is to play basketball. The fact that you get to play the sport you love should be more than enough, hell you should just go back to Orlando. The fact that you’re snubbing every other team in the league is beyond me. You want to have your own team, you want to be the star attraction. You had that. You had an organization that was willing to get you players and put you in a position of power, you even helped push out your coach (Van Gundy).I’m glad he doesn’t want to play for my team (The Chicago Bulls) we have a roster full of guys who would take on any role that Thibs asked of them.
Don’t get me wrong, the best Center on the planet would be nice but I wouldn’t want that cancer in my locker room. Would you?

I love Tim Tebow, as a person. He has one of the most genuine personalities and he’s such a good guy. He does charitable work, he’s a fantastic role model to everybody and it’s almost as if he doesn’t have a bad bone in his body.
Now, I hate him as a quarterback. I don’t hate him because he claims he’s good and he is the greatest thing since Jesus, because he just doesn’t do that. I hate him as a quarterback because people put him up on a pedestal.
I hated hearing about Tebow Time and he’s terrific in the 4th quarter. Football like ALL sports you have to show up the ENTIRE game, that’s why LeBron still doesn’t have a ring, by the way.
It wasn’t just Tebow who played hard in the 4th, it’s the Denver Broncos who picked up his slack. If you’re going to give Tebow credit for bringing them to the playoffs and leading them to however many wins, then you HAVE to blame him for his team getting eliminated to the Patriots.
Again, I have absolute respect for this guy as a human being, everyone should try to be like him (maybe minus the hardcore Jesus thing) He will have a very average career that will be cut short at the QB position, hell I’d have him as my starting FB or RB any day.
But… can you say Brady Time?
What do you think?
